Laurie Allen has been mesmerizing audiences with her stories throughout the area since 1990, having shared in schools, libraries, festivals, parks, family groups and anywhere people will listen. She specializes in folk tales, ghost stories and legends of the American experience.
She has worked with Ogden and Salt Lake City Ghost Tours as a story guide since its inception in 2002, re-telling the haunted stories in those two cities. She is a co-author of Haunted Salt Lake City, and is the creator of Mary’s Monster: the Inside Story of Frankenstein. She enjoys telling stories of the American experience.
She has also taught music in an elementary school for 24 years, during which time she has worked with thousands of children. Having taught music at the elementary level, she often adds songs and instruments to her tales. She is the founder of the Clearfield, Utah Storytelling Festival.
I have run the Clearfield Storytelling Festival for nearly two decades. I have worked with Ogden, Utah Ghost Tours for 20+ years.
I have taught storytelling classes—Treasured Tales for seniors and Storytelling for the Ages—for the past four years. I also spent 24 years working in schools, where I gained extensive experience working with children.
