Rachel delights in connecting to people by bringing stories to life. Over the years, her roles as teacher, mother, writer and library storyteller, have been key in honing her experience and talent. Rachel is a very active, very curious life long learner. She is often found reading about adventures or delving into them herself. In her opinion, opening ourselves to new experiences just gives us more stories to tell!  Among her favorite adventures are, keeping a lighthouse on the Washington State coast and telling stories of the sea to visitors, paragliding above the Utah mountains, being the church bell ringer for one night in a tiny Welsh town, and eating pickle pie.

As an active writer and member of The Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, Rachel has participated in countless workshops and critiques. She is a trained and certified voice-over artist through Such A Voice and has most recently been training under Katherine Farmer as a script analyst using the Story Code method.

Rachel’s storytelling carries a mix of friendly warmth, interest, and care that pairs well with her mischievous sense of fun. She has been described as perceptive, intuitive and insightful which is evident in her natural connection to people and their ideas. You can count on Rachel to identify with your vision and bring you an unforgettable story experience! And she may just ask you to tell her a story in return!
